A talented and innovative Kathak dancer, mainly a solo  performer and a trainer having a dance institution named  SHAILPIK DANCE CENTRE at Kanchrapara  & Barrackpore  /Kolkata.

            She has completed Nritya Visharad and Bhaskar from  Pracheen Kala Kendra/Chandigarh, and awarded Nritya Ratna  (Gold Medal) (M.Muse) from Sarbo Bharatiya Sangeet O  Sanskrity Porisad/Kolkata. She achieved first place in the  prestigeous Dover Lane Dance Competition/Kolkata and All India  Railway Dance Competition/Chennai. She also  stood second in  the West Bengal State Music Academy dance competition  /Kolkata. She received Senior National Scholarship from Deptt. of  Culture Govt. of India. She is an 'A' Grade artist of Kolkata  Doordarshan Kendra.

           She started her training at the tender age of six. For last  twenty five years she took training in Kathak Dance under the  guidence of Smt. Maya Chatterjee, Late Pandit Omprakash  Maharaj,  Pandit Vijay Shankar, Smt Rani Karna, Smt. Saswati  Sen and Pandit  Birju Maharaj. 

           Perfomed as solo dancer at Doordarshan and different  prestigious stages like :- 

    *Uday Shankar Dance Festival/Kolkata , 

    *Nikhil Banerjee Memorial Conference/Barrackpore,                

    *International Trade Fair/New Delhi, 

    *World Dance Day/Barrackpore, 

    *Basanto Utsav organized by West Bengal Dance     

     Group Federation/Kolkata etc.
